I’m not coming home.

I’m on the road again
Walking down the streets, that I have done so many times before
Driving down the roads, like any other day
Only today I notice the things that I’ve never seen before
This time I want to remember every branch on every tree
Every crack in every footpath
Every shop and every detail in the windows
I want to remember my home as it is today

For today is the day that I leave my home behind
The day that I break my family apart
In hopes to find a better life across the big big blue sea

I’m on the road again, only this time I’m not coming back
As I fly across the big blue sea my family are at the airport
Holding each other for support, hoping and longing that one day
I can return to the land that was once my home

Until things change I shall be gone forever more
My family shall be apart unless there change
I will always have them in my heart
The pain of being apart will only grow stronger the longer I’m away

I’m on the road again only this time I’m not coming home
My future is brighter across the big blue sea
I wish it was different, but this is the way it must be.
I’m not coming home unless there is change for me.
